Why are we here ?

Question:
Why are we here ? where did "we" come from? Were we put here just to test our morality???

Response:
According to the Quran we are here for a trial. The trial is basically of our morality. Having been given the understanding of distinguishing right from wrong, we have been set free to choose the 'right' way.
This is our first existence. However from here we go to another stage whose details are less known except that it would be a transitory stage more likely to be in the spiritual form. Thereafter there would come a day of accountability for the entire humanity. People's fate would be decided on the basis of their worldly performance. The good performers shall be rewarded and the bad ones punished.
