Understanding Islam honestly or filtering its absurdities? (1)

Question:
Please leave this cult Islam. I really cry when I see people of Javed Ghamidi's and your stature defending Koran and Islam. My hope in you is that you have already digressed from the mainstream Islamic path because you have subconsciously recognized follies of religions. Now, one day you will openly get out of this cult.

Response:
We have accepted Islam and have decided to follow and promote its teachings because we are convinced about the truthfulness of its claim that it has originated from God. Our conviction about the correctness of Islam owes little to our accidental birth in Muslim families. We therefore try to present what we think is the true Islam to Muslims quite as strongly as we defend it when we are interacting with the non-Muslims who are against Islam.

I hope you believe in a God. Even if you don't, you have one inside you. I will request you to do one thing: You pray to Him, as indeed I will too, and ask Him if Muhammad was His messenger then He should open your heart for him, and if he wasn't, then He should open my heart for what you are asking me to do. However, in order for that prayer to be effective, both for you and me, we need to read the Qur'an with an open mind, asking ourselves while we do it if it appeared to be from Him or not.
