Half testimony of women and multiple marriages

Question:
How can it be explained to women that it is not unfair for them in Islam:

1. To have half the evidence of a man; and

2. Not to be allowed to have multiple marriages when men are allowed?

Response:
I would like to know if this question of your still remains after reading my answers to questions on the witnessing of women and plural marriages. Please do let me know if there still remains a reason for women to feel uncomfortable about these matters.
