Haraam Meat

Question:
While abroad is it halal to eat chicken burgers after taking Allah's name on them (on the basis of an analogy narrated from a hadith)? Could you please clarify.

Response:
My understanding is that Muslims can't consume any meat that has not been slaughtered in the name of Allah. The Qur'an says:

"Do not eat of that meat on which Allah's name has not been pronounced, since that is most surely a transgression." (6:121)

No other source can override this clear Qur'anic injunction.
