Using perfumes containing alcohol

Question:
Is it allowed to use perfumes with alcoholic content? One person said that since alcohol evaporates in air immediately, it is okay to offer namaz after applying alcoholic perfume. Some say that alcohol is "Najs" so it is better to avoid it completely. What is your view? I tried using non-alcoholic perfumes (known as 'itar') but their quality is not good. That is why I am asking this question.

Response:
I believe that the first view is correct. Alcohol is not allowed to be consumed as a drink; it is not disallowed for other purposes. If using alcohol as a perfume has an intoxicating effect only then should it be deemed to be disallowed.
